Online Ikea Samla Kurus Order: Out of Stock, Wrong Product, No Refund After 10 Days
I bought 2 Samla Kurus from IKEA's online store for 680 TL, including delivery, on April 15, 2023. The product description said the boxes came with coverings. A week later, IKEA called to cancel the sale owing to product shortages. I bought the things without knowing they were out of stock. I sent the relevant details for a refund. I thought the product was back in stock when I received an Aras Cargo shipping notification. On April 25, 2023, only the covers came. Without boxes, the coverings were worthless. IKEA appeared to be playing me. I returned the coverings, but the event destroyed my intentions to utilize the boxes for travel. Despite the mistake, IKEA required me to return the covers I didn't want. I never bought the covers. IKEA's error forced me to return them. I've had problems like this before, but I thought it was just a one-time thing. After what happened, I'm sure that IKEA can't deal with online shopping. The person or group at fault should be held accountable, and the job should be given to experts who can do it right. If they can't, they shouldn't sell anything online at all. I'm still waiting for my return, and I'm worried that they might send it to the wrong bank account. I don't think it's a good idea to shop on IKEA's website. If you want to buy something from IKEA, you should go to the shop. It's not worth the stress and anger that may come with shopping online with them, which could ruin your plans.
