5-Month Airbag Replacement Wait for Honda CRV Repair

I had an accident with my Honda CRV with license plate 34**A036 on October 20th. The car was towed to Honda Marmara service. On November 18th, repair approval was given, and a whopping ₺640,000 bill was issued. Now, Honda Turkey is claiming an April deadline for a simple airbag replacement. What kind of service is this? Should my friend wait 5 months for just an airbag? Is it normal for a car to stay in the service center for 6 months for a repair? It shouldn't take this long even if the car was built from scratch.
