Homend Royaltea Tea Maker Broke 6 Times and Service Could Not Fix the Problem

March 10 4:07 AM23

I purchased a Homend Royaltea 1708H Talking Tea Maker from Amazon.com.tr on November 22, 2023. Shortly after purchasing the product, it began experiencing a problem where it failed to boil water, and after each repair the same issue returned within a short time. After the most recent malfunction, the appliance stopped heating entirely, so I removed it from use. It is currently completely unusable.

Because of this recurring problem, the product was sent to the service center on February 12, 2025; June 4, 2025; and October 16, 2025. Each time, the service center only replaced the thermostat and returned the product to me. During the third service visit, I specifically requested a replacement, but the product was again only repaired and sent back.

Since the problem continued, I sent the product to service again on December 1, 2025. On December 19, 2025, it was returned once more after another thermostat replacement. However, on December 20, 2025 — the very next day — during the second use, the tea maker failed to boil water again.

During a later service submission, the service report stated “no problem detected” and the product was returned to me. However, when I received it, the device not only failed to boil water, but even the lights would not turn on, meaning it was completely nonfunctional.

After this, I had a video call with customer service and showed the representative live that the device did not turn on and the lights were not working, even while attempting to operate it. Following this call, a VIP service record was created and I sent the product to service again.

The service report with record number SRV-1166297-X1K2D stated that for the first time the main board/logic board was replaced and tested. When the product was returned, it was working initially. However, about 10 days later, the same boiling failure occurred again, and now the product once again does not heat at all.

In conclusion, despite multiple service visits and different parts being replaced, the defect has never been permanently resolved. I have experienced significant inconvenience because of a product that is repeatedly repaired but quickly breaks again.

At this point, I do not want the product repaired again. Instead, I request that it be replaced under defective product regulations or that a full refund be issued. Otherwise, I will exercise all of my legal rights, including filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.

Ürünü defalarca servise gönderdim, termostat ve ana kart değiştirildi ancak her seferinde aynı ısıtma sorunu tekrar ortaya çıktı. En son cihaz hiç çalışmadı, ışıkları yanmadı ve Homend'den hiçbir geri dönüş almadım. Şu anda ürünü tamir ettirmek istemiyorum, değiştirilmesini ya da tam geri ödeme yapılmasını talep ediyorum.

I was called by Homend Customer Service on March 18, 2026. I told them that I no longer want my product to be repaired, and I was told that they would get back to me again after the holiday. I will share the outcome again.

Hello again. On March 25, 2026, I was called by Homend Headquarters, and they said that for my exchange or refund request to be processed, I need to send the device back to them, and a decision will be made after they examine the device. I will send the device and will report the developments again.

Dear Sir/Madam, On March 25, 2026, I was contacted by Homend Headquarters and informed that my product needed to be delivered to the technical service as part of the exchange/return process. Accordingly, on April 4, 2026, I handed over my device to the service and reported the previous faults. On April 15, 2026, the technical service’s inspection reported that the device’s main board and resistance were defective, that production of the main board had been halted, and therefore a paid replacement was suggested. However, shortly thereafter I was called again and told that a part was now in stock and the repair would be carried out for 1,800 TL. In response, despite stating that the main board had been replaced by Homend Headquarters on January 24, 2026 and that this replacement was covered by warranty, I was referred by the technical service back to the Headquarters. During my conversation with Homend Headquarters on April 16, 2026, I was told that a record had been created and that I would receive a response, yet I have not received any feedback, only the following e‑mail was sent on April 22, 2026: “Regarding your request CAS-10685‑G3F4Z4, the inspection indicates that your product’s warranty period has expired and the current service operation is chargeable.” My product has undergone multiple repairs for the same fault, which clearly demonstrates that the product is defective. Therefore, I request a replacement or a refund, not another repair. Otherwise, I will apply to the Consumer Arbitration Board. I kindly request that appropriate action be taken.

Hello. Still no one is calling or asking. Just a few days ago the technical service in my city called and said that since you do not want it repaired for a fee, you can come and pick up the product. I will appeal to the Consumer Board.

Hello. Yesterday I called Homend Customer Service for the last time and told them that the department handling my complaint on Xolvie still hasn't called me. The person I spoke with said they had sent an email instead of calling, asking "didn't you read it?". I said I would ignore the email and that I want to be called. They said they created a record and that I would be called within two days. Today I received an SMS from Homend saying they had called me but couldn't reach me. In fact, I was never called. They're like a joke. The quality is lacking. As of today I will share all of this with everyone around me and will file a complaint with the Consumer Board. All the small kitchen appliances in my kitchen were from Karaca and Homend. From now on I will never bring them into my home again. They disappointed me over a trivial product.
