Unauthorized Google Chat Charge Appeared on My Akbank Card

An unauthorized transaction of approximately $14 was made from my Akbank debit card ending in 1026 without my knowledge or approval. On Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 8:29 PM, a charge appeared on my account with the description “12 lıdıo /Google *Chat xxxx.” I noticed the transaction the same day around 9:50 PM, and I can clearly confirm that this purchase was made completely without my permission.

I have not yet contacted Akbank customer service regarding this issue, but after submitting this complaint, I plan to take the necessary steps to secure my card and account. However, I am seriously concerned that the bank’s security systems failed to detect or prevent such an unauthorized transaction.

I request that Akbank conduct a detailed investigation into this unauthorized approximately $14 transaction, determine how and where my card information was used, and refund the amount to me as soon as possible. I also want all necessary security precautions to be taken regarding my card and account so that a similar incident cannot happen again in the future.
