I registered a domain through GoDaddy, but it’s not working. How can I find out what the problem is and how to fix it?

First, check the domain status in your GoDaddy account. Make sure the domain is active and not in a pending, suspended, or verification status. Sometimes a domain is formally registered but not yet delegated.

Next, check the DNS settings. If the domain does not have the correct DNS servers configured or they point “nowhere,” the website will not open.

This often happens if you are using hosting not provided by GoDaddy and did not change the DNS to those given by your hosting provider. After changing DNS settings, it may take up to 24–48 hours for the website to start working — this is a normal propagation period.

Also, make sure the domain is actually connected to hosting. Domain registration and website hosting are two separate services. If hosting has not been purchased or connected, the domain will exist, but the website will not load.

If you have checked everything and the domain still does not work, contact GoDaddy support with a specific question: the domain is active but not resolving, DNS is configured, and the website is not loading.

You can reach GoDaddy’s official support email at: [email protected]. In your message, include the domain name, registration date, and describe exactly what is not working.

If support does not help or the issue drags on for weeks, write a complaint on Xolvie — this helps document the situation and often encourages the brand to respond faster, especially when the service has been paid for but is not functioning properly.
