GoDaddy Made an Unauthorized $40 Credit Card Charge
On September 17, 2026, at 12:46 PM, GoDaddy charged $40 to my İş Bankası credit card without my knowledge or authorization. I did not use the GoDaddy app or account for this transaction, and I believe my card information was used without my permission.
I did not receive any warning or authorization notification from İş Bankası. However, the notification I received from my bank stated that the transaction was not approved because mail order transactions were disabled on my card. Despite this, a GoDaddy transaction for the same amount appears in my account activity. In other words, I was told that the transaction was not approved, yet it still appears as if the amount was charged to my card.
After this transaction, I tried to access the GoDaddy website and my account, but I kept encountering an error screen and could not log in. Not only can I no longer access my account, but I have also been unable to get any support. I have been charged an unauthorized amount on my card while also being unable to access the platform. Along with my complaint, I am also providing screenshots showing the transaction details from my bank, the notification I received from my bank, and the error preventing me from accessing the GoDaddy website.
I request that the $40 in question be refunded to me immediately, that this unauthorized transaction be thoroughly investigated, and that the necessary security measures be taken to address the unauthorized use of my card information and prevent similar transactions from occurring again.
