Garanti BBVA does not open accounts for foreigners, even though I have a valid work permit. They told me that they can only open an account if it is a salary account, which I believe is discriminatory. According to the Banking Law and relevant regulations, individuals who legally reside in Turkey have the right to access basic financial services. This practice not only violates those rights but also goes against the law and promotes unequal treatment.
