Flyone Moldova Charged Me a $428 Gate Fee for Previously Approved Carry-On

I experienced severe distress on my return flight to Türkiye with Flyone Moldova on July 31, 2026. Despite completing my online check-in prior to the flight and having an 8 kg hand luggage allowance with 40x30 dimensions—which I used without issue when traveling from Türkiye to Moldova—I was charged a total of $428 for two suitcases at the boarding gate on my return journey. Furthermore, I had flown back and forth to Moldova multiple times using these exact same suitcases without ever encountering a single problem.

Our family experienced extreme stress while this transaction was being processed at the gate. My children panicked, cried, and grew terrified thinking we would miss the flight. We were made to wait off to the side by staff members for several minutes, enduring severe emotional and financial distress throughout the ordeal. Even though I had not performed any extra or non-compliant actions, I strictly refuse to accept being forced to pay this amount by credit card at the gate.

I consider this practice unfair and arbitrary, and I demand a full refund of the $428 baggage fee collected from me. I hereby notify Flyone Moldova that should my grievance fail to be resolved, I will submit an application to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and exercise all my legal rights.
