Unauthorized FitMe App Subscription Charged $7 Without Consent via Play Store

October 10, 2025 11:46 AM146

On October 9, 2025, at 7:20 p.m., while downloading a QR code reader app called FitMe from the Play Store, a subscription worth ₺229 ($7) was started without my consent, and the amount was deducted from my account. As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted customer service, and they canceled the subscription, but they said they would not refund the first month’s payment.

After reading other users’ complaints about the same company, I realized that this kind of unauthorized charge has happened to many others. I’m also surprised that Paycell and Turkcell act as intermediaries for such unfair practices. For reference, users can reduce their Paycell limit to ₺10 ($0.30) and disable the “charge to my bill” feature to avoid similar issues.

I’m requesting a refund of the unauthorized payment. This is the first time I’ve experienced such an issue, and I want my financial loss to be resolved as soon as possible.
