I Face Finish Rinse Aid Chemical Odor Problems In My Bosch Dishwasher

After I started using Finish rinse aid in my Bosch dishwasher, I began noticing a strong and unpleasant chemical odor on my dishes. The product packaging states “100% better shine and spot-free results, 200 washes” and “Recommended by Paşabahçe.” The smell is especially noticeable when we pour hot tea or coffee into glass cups. It becomes so strong that drinking tea makes us feel nauseous, and we have had to throw away our tea and food several times. We never experienced this problem before using this product.

I first started using this rinse aid in January 2026, and the odor remained very noticeable for about one month before gradually decreasing. At the time, we did not realize that the rinse aid was the cause. In July 2026, we added the same rinse aid to the dishwasher again, and the exact same chemical odor returned. At that point, we became convinced that the issue was caused by this product. When we use the dishwasher with other detergents and rinse aids, this smell does not occur at all. We purchased the product in a large package, most likely in late 2025.

I request that this issue, which is also concerning from a health perspective, be investigated for a possible quality or formulation problem. If necessary, I would like the relevant product batch to be inspected and a suitable solution to be provided for the problem I experienced.
