FaceApp Overcharge Refund Request
In July 2025, I purchased a one-year subscription to the FaceApp application, which I am still actively using today. However, since I use two different phones, I mistakenly purchased a second one-year subscription while trying to transfer my existing subscription to my other device.
I immediately canceled this duplicate subscription, but despite that, the ₺1000 charge for the second subscription was still billed to my Turkcell account. As a result, I was charged a total of ₺2000 (₺1000 each) even though I only needed and used one subscription. The second subscription was never activated or used, and my original subscription is still active.
When I contacted Turkcell, I was told that I had to request the refund directly through FaceApp support. However, I have not been able to reach the FaceApp support team, despite multiple attempts. I also have the relevant invoice and payment receipts as proof.
I am requesting a full refund of the unused second subscription fee (₺1000), as I should not be charged twice for a service I only use once. Customers should not be penalized for such billing errors, especially when the subscription was canceled immediately and never used.
