Enterprise Stuttgart Fails to Refund $55 Out-of-Pocket Engine Oil Expense

On December 11, 2025, I rented a VW Passat with license plate wı from the Enterprise office at Stuttgart Airport. Approximately 100 km after picking up the vehicle from the airport, the car displayed an engine oil warning. I immediately notified Enterprise of the situation, and I was instructed to buy engine oil from the nearest gas station and add it to the vehicle myself.

Following their instructions, I purchased 2 liters of oil from a gas station and paid $55. When returning the vehicle, I was explicitly told that if I left the receipt for this oil purchase with the office, I would be contacted by email and the payment would be refunded to my credit card. However, despite days having passed since I returned the vehicle, I have neither received an informational email nor has any refund been processed.

As of December 22, 2025, all emails and messages I sent remained unanswered, and no one got back to me. Even though I was forced to incur extra expenses due to the lack of maintenance on their rental vehicle, the $55 oil fee was never refunded to me. Later, Enterprise employee M Y contacted me stating that the payment would be made; however, even though 18 days have passed since that email, still no payment has been made nor has a clear and satisfactory explanation been provided regarding the process.

I demand that the mandatory $55 oil expense I incurred due to improper vehicle maintenance be refunded to my credit card as soon as possible, along with a clear, written, and definitive explanation of the situation. I refuse to accept that my grievance remains unresolved despite repeated promises, and I expect a concrete solution without further delay.
