Enterprise Düsseldorf Charges $1,376 for Bumper Scratch Without Inspection Proof
On July 3, 2026, I rented a Volkswagen Golf with license plate WI-UD 4019 under reservation number 42QG2S from the Enterprise branch at Düsseldorf Airport. While driving the vehicle, I was involved in no accidents, collisions, or damages whatsoever.
Upon picking up and returning the vehicle, there were no joint inspection reports, photographs, or similar records regarding a scratch on the lower part of the bumper. Despite this, citing a scratch under the bumper as justification, $1,376 was deducted from my card. No consent was requested from me for this deduction, and no photos, damage files, or official documents regarding the alleged scratch have been shared with me.
I consider the withdrawal of this amount by Enterprise without any concrete grounds to be extremely unfair and victimizing to the customer. I demand that the charge be canceled, the unfairly collected amount be refunded to me in full, and a detailed written explanation along with all records be provided. Otherwise, I plan to pursue legal remedies and file a lawsuit.
