Electrolux Washing Machine Rubbers Melted

Electrolux Washing Machine Rubbers Melted

I purchased my Electrolux EW6F341PST washing machine about a year ago, and it is still under warranty. For the past month, the door gasket has shown significant melting, and according to the service team, there is also wear inside the drum caused by detergent use. I called the authorized service for a solution, but after inspection, they claimed the fault was due to “detergent use,” stating it would not be covered under warranty and that I would be charged ₺3,500. Furthermore, when asked, “Do you use detergent?” and I answered “Yes,” they responded with, “That’s why these problems happened,” completely placing the blame on the user. However, using detergent in a household washing machine is normal and expected. The fact that detergent use could cause such severe wear and melting of parts indicates either a manufacturing defect or that the product was not designed for its intended purpose. Presenting such production faults as user error and excluding them from warranty coverage is against Articles 8 and 13 of the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. For the first time facing such an issue, I request that my product, registered under customer number 900765725, be re-evaluated and repaired free of charge under warranty, or replaced. Otherwise, I will proceed with the legal process by filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board, supported by the necessary information and documents. I kindly request that this matter be resolved quickly with customer satisfaction as the priority.
