eDreams Billed My Card $8 for Prime Plus Without My Consent
I purchased only a flight ticket through eDreams and had no intention of buying any package or add-on service. I did not knowingly sign up for a Prime Plus membership, nor did I give explicit consent for a paid subscription. Despite this, when I checked my account, I discovered that a Prime Plus membership was active and that a monthly Prime fee of $8 was charged to my credit card on August 7, 2026, at 8:23 AM.
Upon seeing this charge, I logged into my eDreams account and canceled the Prime membership immediately. However, I do not accept being enrolled in a paid subscription without my knowledge or explicit consent, nor do I accept the $8 charge on my card. I attempted to reach eDreams customer service, but I was unable to connect with any representative and received zero support.
My eDreams booking reference number for this transaction is 25388017400. I demand a thorough investigation into the Prime membership and the $8 charge billed on August 7, 2026, along with a full refund of this amount. Furthermore, I request a written explanation detailing at what stage, in what manner, and under what explicit consent the Prime membership was activated. If eDreams claims I provided explicit consent, I demand that concrete evidence—such as system logs, screen captures, or audio recordings—be provided to me.
I request a prompt resolution to this issue and that proper controls be put in place to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
