Duolingo Keeps Emailing Me After I Unsubscribed
From the very first day we installed the Duolingo app on my iPad, we started receiving an overwhelming number of notifications. Even while actively using the app, it constantly displayed pop-ups, reminders, and prompts that reappeared every few minutes. Even after completing the requested actions, the same notifications would return almost immediately. Instead of making the app enjoyable, this constant interruption became frustrating and eventually caused us to stop using it altogether.
After deleting the app from my device, canceling my subscription, and repeatedly unsubscribing from Duolingo's email list, the notifications and promotional emails eventually stopped for a while. However, they later started coming back again. This level of persistence is excessive, intrusive, and extremely annoying. I no longer want to use Duolingo, and I do not want to continue receiving these messages.
I ask that this complaint be treated as feedback for Duolingo to review its notification and email practices. The company should give users greater control over communications and avoid sending excessive reminders and marketing messages that create a negative user experience.
Since I downloaded the Duolingo app onto my iPad, I've been receiving frequent and pushy notifications. To stop the notifications and emails, I deleted the app, canceled the subscription, and unsubscribed from the email list, but the notifications and emails keep coming. So far, I haven't seen any improvement on this issue.
