I Received a Discord Verification Code Without Having a Discord Account

On June 8, 2026, at 8:44 PM, Discord sent a single security/verification code SMS to my Vodafone phone number ending in 93. Although I do not have any Discord account registered under my name, receiving such a code on my number without my consent or knowledge immediately raises concerns that my personal data may have been accessed or used without authorization, and this situation has seriously disturbed me.

The phone line in question is fully registered in my name. I have never used this phone number on Discord in any way, never transferred it to anyone else, and no number change or similar transaction has ever been made regarding my line. Despite this, I absolutely do not accept the possibility that my phone number may be associated with any Discord account that was not opened by me or may have been created without my knowledge, and I am filing a complaint about this matter.

I believe my personal data may have been used without permission, and I take this issue extremely seriously. After receiving this SMS, I did not receive any additional notification from Discord or any other channel indicating that an account had been created or that any action had been taken. This raises even more serious questions about how and in what way my number may have been used in your systems.

If my phone number is registered in Discord’s systems in any way, I request that it be permanently and irreversibly deleted from all accounts and databases. I also request that Discord carefully and thoroughly check whether any account is associated with my number and provide me with a clear, direct, and written explanation regarding the status of my personal data.

I request that all necessary investigations be carried out urgently, that I be informed of the legal and technical grounds on which my personal data was processed, and that the measures taken to prevent a similar situation from happening again be clearly shared with me.
