Discord Sent Me an Unauthorized Security Code

On September 10, 2026, at approximately 2:52 AM, I received an SMS on my phone containing the message “Your Discord security code.” However, I do not have a Discord account, and I have never knowingly created or used one. For this reason, I believe someone may have attempted to use my phone number without my permission to create a Discord account or log in to an existing account, and I am extremely concerned about this situation.

After receiving the message, I did not take any action, click on any links, or share the security code with anyone. Nevertheless, the fact that my phone number may be registered with and being used on an application that I have never joined and do not wish to use is extremely concerning from a security standpoint.

I urgently request that my phone number be removed from any accounts to which it has been associated without my permission and that the creation of new accounts or login attempts using my phone number be permanently prevented. I also request clear written information by email explaining which account or accounts my phone number has been associated with and what actions were attempted using it, along with all necessary security checks to protect my number.
