DeWalt DCD776S2 Chuck Mechanism Broke After Minimal Use

On September 15, 2025, I purchased a DeWalt DCD776S2-TR 18V 1.5 Ah Li-ion cordless hammer drill from Bauhaus. On September 24, 2025, during only my second time using the tool, the automatic chuck tightening mechanism malfunctioned. Even though the drill was used for a very short time and under light-duty conditions, the chuck tightening function failed.

At the time of purchase, I paid $175, and the invoice number for the product is WTA20250000675**. After experiencing this issue, I submitted a return request to Bauhaus and am currently waiting for a response. I specifically chose DeWalt for its reputation for quality, especially since other product sets are available on the market at this price point.

Because a brand known for quality failed in such a short time, I am requesting a full refund. I kindly ask that my inconvenience be resolved as soon as possible.
