DeepL Renewed My Team Subscription Without My Consent

My DeepL Team free trial was automatically renewed on July 6, 2026, without my explicit knowledge or approval. As a result, my credit card was charged approximately $356 as a one-time payment for a one-year Team subscription. The transaction appears on my credit card statement as "deepl.com."

As soon as I noticed that the subscription had been renewed, I canceled the annual membership on the same day. I had no intention of continuing with a paid annual subscription and acted immediately after becoming aware of the charge.

To explain the situation and request a refund, I contacted DeepL both by email and through its AI support assistant. The AI assistant confirmed that my case had been forwarded to the appropriate team and acknowledged that it required further review. However, despite waiting three to four days, I have not received any response, and the payment remains charged to my credit card.

I respectfully request that the full amount of approximately $356 charged for the automatically renewed one-year DeepL Team subscription be refunded to my original payment method as soon as possible. Since I canceled the subscription immediately after discovering the renewal and did not intend to continue with a paid annual plan, I ask that my case be reviewed fairly and resolved without further delay.
