Columbia Waterproof Jacket Developed Pilling and Tears After One Winter

I purchased a Columbia winter waterproof outdoor jacket from the Kocaeli Outlet store in June 2025. The sleeves and several other areas of the jacket initially developed significant fabric pilling, followed by areas of wear and small tears. After only one winter of use, the jacket has deteriorated to the point where it is uncomfortable both visually and functionally and is almost impossible to wear.

I first noticed these problems in February 2026, and considering the price of the jacket and the trust I have placed in the Columbia brand, I do not believe it is acceptable for a jacket to develop this level of deformation, wear, and tearing in such a short period of time. In my view, this jacket clearly fails to meet the quality standards I would expect from a product in this category and from a brand like Columbia.

Because I was unable to visit the store regarding this issue, I tried to contact Columbia through its website. However, there was no complaint or customer-service request section available for this type of product issue, so I was unable to get anywhere with my request and the matter was left unresolved. This situation has caused me significant inconvenience, both in terms of the product quality and the lack of accessible customer support.

I request that my jacket, which deteriorated so quickly, be inspected and evaluated as a defective product. If possible, I would also like assistance with a replacement or refund. In addition, I ask Columbia to establish a clear and accessible channel through which customers can submit complaints and requests regarding similar product issues.
