Columbia Jacket Defect Worsened After Unauthorized Tailor Repair
Approximately 9 months ago, I purchased a fleece jacket from the Columbia store at Konya Kentplaza. After about 3 months, I took it back to the store with the original tag still attached because there was a missing stitch under the arm. The store employees took the jacket and told me that they could have it repaired by a tailor. However, the tailor was unable to repair the jacket properly, and it ended up in even worse condition. The store then sent it for inspection and told me that my claim would definitely be approved.
Approximately 15 days later, I was informed of the inspection result, and I was told that they could not help me in any way and would not offer a replacement, refund, or any other solution. I later learned that the Columbia stores in Konya operate as franchise locations, that Columbia itself apparently does not have such a tailor-repair practice, and that despite this, the Columbia customer service representative took no action to resolve the problem I experienced. No action was taken against the store either. At this point, neither the store nor the brand is taking responsibility for the product, and they are simply telling me that I can pursue legal action.
I do not accept the fact that they sold me a defective product and then made it unusable through an unauthorized repair without offering any solution afterward. I request either a replacement of the jacket or a full refund due to the defective product and the improper repair that followed. I also expect both Columbia and the franchise store at Konya Kentplaza to take responsibility and resolve the inconvenience and loss I have experienced throughout this process.
There was a missing stitch on my coat, I had it repaired by the store's tailor but the product got even worse. After the review, no solution was offered, and the store and brand took no responsibility. So far I haven't received any response and I think the store is profit‑focused and doesn't value customer satisfaction.
