Citroen C3 Peeling Roof Paint

I own a Citroën C3 with the registration number YS17 E**, which I use in Mansfield, Great Britain. Around two months ago I noticed that the lacquer on the red roof started peeling, and since then the situation has become dramatically worse. Large areas of the roof are now flaking off continuously and the defect is clearly visible at all times, not just under specific conditions such as washing or strong sun. The car is on finance and is already out of the standard warranty. However, I am aware that there are thousands of Citroën owners with coloured roofs reporting exactly the same lacquer and paint peeling issue, which strongly suggests that this is a common fault rather than normal wear and tear. I am requesting that Citroën take responsibility for this problem and restore the roof properly, either by repainting it or carrying out whatever repair is necessary at no cost to me, as a gesture of goodwill and in recognition of what appears to be a widespread defect. I would like this issue to be resolved as soon as possible so that my vehicle can be returned to an acceptable cosmetic condition.
