ChatGPT Ads Charged Me Multiple Times for One Day
I ran an advertisement through ChatGPT Ads on September 25 for just one day. Although the system required a minimum daily budget of $25, I was charged significantly higher amounts from my card after this short period of use.
Under normal circumstances, my total advertising spend should have been around $49. However, instead of being charged only for the amount actually spent, I was charged three separate times on the same day. In my account activity, I can see two separate charges of $25 each on September 25, both listed as “openAI s,” as well as another charge of $50 on September 23 with the same “openAI s” description. I have not been given any explanation as to what these repeated charges correspond to or why I was charged multiple times.
As someone who was only just trying the system, having these amounts charged before I even had a clear opportunity to understand how the platform and its billing system worked is both concerning and frustrating. I do not accept being charged such high and duplicate amounts without clear and transparent information being provided to users who want to advertise.
I request a detailed explanation of each excess and duplicate charge made on the relevant dates and the immediate refund to my card or bank account of the payments that I believe were improperly charged.
