I had to change my phone and transfer the Cash App to my new device. What will happen to my balance?

Your balance is unaffected when you switch phones and transfer the Cash App to your new handset.

• Your login credentials, not your phone, are linked to your Cash App account and balance. Therefore, changing devices won't change the amount in your account.

• All you have to do to transfer the Cash App to a new device is download it and use your current account details to log in.

• Rather than on your phone, your balance is safely kept on Cash App servers. As a result, once you log in with your credentials, your balance is still available even if you switch devices.

You can tap the profile icon on the Cash App home screen, select "Personal" and then select the phone number or email address you want to delete in order to transfer Cash App to your new device.

After that, select "Add Phone or Email" to add and verify the new phone number or email address. This procedure guarantees a smooth transition that has no effect on the balance in your account.
