If Capitec Bank charged a transaction you didn’t approve, you should report and dispute it immediately:
Check the transaction details first;
• Open the Capitec app → Transaction History
• Select the suspicious transaction
• Note:
– Date and time
– Amount
– Merchant name
• Screenshot the transaction as proof
Block your card if necessary;
• In the Capitec app → Cards
• Temporarily stop or block the card to prevent further unauthorized charges
• You can unblock it later after the issue is resolved
Report the transaction to Capitec immediately;
• Explain that the charge was unauthorized
• Provide:
– Your account details
– Transaction date and amount
– Screenshot of the charge
• Ask them to open a fraud investigation
If support does not reply, you might want to consider posting a complaint on Xolvie in order to bring attention to the issue and try to find a solution.
