CapCut Now Forces Me to Upgrade to Pro Just to Export Videos After 4 Months Free
I’ve been using CapCut for the past four months completely free—no subscription, no limitations. During that time, I was able to edit and export my videos without any issues. Everything worked perfectly, and there was never any mention of restrictions.
Suddenly, the export feature started showing a message saying I only had 4 free exports per week. I used those, thinking it was just a small limitation—but now it’s telling me I have to upgrade to CapCut Pro just to export any more videos at all.
Has the ability to export videos now been turned into a Pro-only feature? That’s completely unfair. There was no warning, no proper announcement—just a quiet shift that now blocks basic functionality behind a paywall.
CapCut, this isn’t right. If you’re going to change the core features of your app, be transparent about it and inform users in advance. I shouldn’t be forced into a paid plan just to continue using the same feature I relied on for months. Please bring back the ability to export without requiring a Pro upgrade, or at least give users a reasonable free export option.
