Between 2:00 and 3:00 AM on December 16, 2025, I experienced a very serious incident involving a profile I met on the Bumble app, which identified itself as “sk**”** on Bumble and used the name “y* k***”** on WhatsApp. I believe this was a fake account. While we were chatting on Bumble, this person directed me to WhatsApp and asked me to share private and intimate images, attempting to gain my trust by assuring me that they would never share them.
After I sent the images, this person began sending me threatening and blackmailing messages. Through Bumble and WhatsApp, they claimed to have accessed my personal information via a panel, and stated that they had sent my intimate content to phone numbers belonging to my family members and relatives. When I woke up in the morning, my family and close circle had already seen these disclosures.
This individual appears on Bumble under the name “s* k***”** and is associated with the phone number 0538 674 10**. On WhatsApp, they operate under the username “y* k*”** using the number 0538 838 52****. To prevent both myself and other users from being harmed in a similar way in the future, I request that this account and any related accounts be urgently investigated, that the profiles in question be permanently shut down immediately, and that, if deemed necessary, these numbers and accounts be reported to the appropriate authorities.
I also request that Bumble strengthen its security and identity verification measures against fake and extortion-based profiles, provide more effective protection for users against such risks, and inform me about the actions taken regarding this incident.
