Yesterday, while cooking, the glass of my Bosch PKF652BB1E electric stove suddenly cracked on its own without any impact or external factor. As we were sitting at the table, we heard a “crack” sound but couldn’t figure out what it was, and since nothing was visible, we ignored it. When we later removed the pan from the stove, we realized the glass had cracked. This is the first time we have experienced something like this, and unfortunately, the product’s warranty has already expired. When I contacted Bosch customer service, I was told that glass replacement would cost ₺13,000 plus a ₺700 service fee, with no other solution offered. We specifically chose Bosch, paying 3–4 times more than average, believing a high-quality brand would stand behind its product. However, for the glass to crack in such a short time was shocking, and on top of that, the ₺13,000 fee for replacement is unacceptable, especially since a mid-range electric stove can currently be purchased for about half that price. My expectation from Bosch is that the glass replacement should either be done free of charge or at least offered at a more reasonable price than a brand-new standard stove. Since this issue occurred without any fault or misuse on my part, I request a fairer solution.

Today, a lady from Bosch customer service called me. She said they could do the glass replacement for 11,000 TL with a 2,000 TL discount. I said I could not accept this price, which is almost twice the price of a regular electric stove. As long as the replacement cost is not a reasonable price, it would be illogical to repair it, then risk it cracking again and pay the same amount over and over again. As a result, we will throw away the stove we bought by trusting the Bosch brand and paying about four times the price of a normal stove. As a new stove, we will buy a brand new stove from a different brand for much less than the glass replacement fee offered to us. If the product is going to be left with us and thrown away after the warranty expires, there is no point in paying 4-5 times more to buy Bosch anymore. Many thanks to the Şikayetvar site for providing the opportunity for consumers to share their experiences with other consumers and brands.
