I created an account on Bluesky but I can't verify my custom domain for my username, how can I successfully verify it?

Here's what you need to do to make sure that your custom URL is really your Bluesky username:

1. Start the Handle Change: Go to your Bluesky account, click on "Settings," and then click on "Change my handle." Select "I have my own domain" and type in the domain name you want to use.

2. Get Verification Information: Bluesky will give you a unique verification code.

3. Update Your DNS Records: Go to the DNS management settings for your name registrar. Add a TXT record with the following details:
Type: TXT
Name/Host: _atproto (or _atproto.yourdomain.com if required)
Value: Paste the verification code provided by Bluesky

4. Click Verify the DNS Record. After making changes to the DNS, go back to Bluesky and click "Verify DNS Record." After being checked out, your custom name will be your Bluesky handle.

If the proof doesn't work, make sure that the changes to the DNS have spread, which can take 24 to 48 hours. Check out Bluesky's official directions for more information.

This is the information we have, but if you have more insights from your experience, please share in the comments.
