BetterMe Won't Let Me Cancel My Subscription, Please Help!
I downloaded the BetterMe app to try it out for a limited time, as it clearly advertised a trial period. However, after signing up, the app automatically enrolled me in an indefinite subscription and started charging me repeatedly $38.95 without my consent. To make matters worse, the app was barely functional during the trial period and completely useless for my needs—I specifically got it to help with joint exercises at home, but it fell short in every way. This feels like a blatant attempt to exploit users for financial gain. BetterMe, this is unacceptable! Cancel this unauthorized subscription immediately and refund my money. If this is not resolved soon, I will take further steps to address this unfair practice.
Hello Saprina. We appreciate that you are sharing your concerns. Before confirming your first purchase, each user manually chooses one of the offered plans. All of them are based on a subscription. You can be offered a discount for your first payment. All further renewals happen at full price. This info is indicated on the same page where you choose a plan. After you confirm your payment, you receive a purchase confirmation letter with the very same details. If you do not agree to be billed for the full price, you can easily cancel the subscription before it renews. It can easily be done either from the app or by contacting our support team beforehand.
