Beko Air Conditioner Installation Problem and Poor Customer Service
My experience with Beko has been so bad that I will never shop there again. I ordered an air conditioner from Beko's website, and they came to install it a month later without warning. They called and said, "We will be there in 10 minutes." Only my spouse was home, and when I asked them to return later, they said I'd have to wait another 15 days. I had no choice but to accept. The contractor had already prepared the infrastructure. However, they stated that the AC pipe may not reach and that I would have to pay 3000 TL for an additional pipe piece because it was made of copper. They claimed that each brand charges the same. Many of our neighbors used the same infrastructure without problems or additional charges from different brands. I asked that they install it without the additional pipe. They warned me about potential problems before refusing to install it even after I agreed to take the risk. I wanted to return it, but they left without accepting it. (All conversations occurred over the phone.) I called customer service, filed a complaint, and asked for assistance within a week. I requested that the AC be returned and my money be refunded if they were unable to resolve the situation. They said they'd direct me to a different service, but my appointment was still assigned to the same one. My appointment was canceled because I did not agree to pay the 3000 TL. My second and third calls to customer service resulted in the same outcome: my appointment was assigned to the same service and canceled. On the fourth call, I refused system-generated appointments. They sent me a link stating that I could select any service I wanted. However, there was no such option on the link, so my appointment was assigned to the same service. I spent the entire day waiting for customer service and explaining the same issues over the phone. None of the customer service representatives could access the records created by their colleagues, nor did they know the status of my previous complaints. When I inquired about refund policies, they could only read irrelevant, general content from their screens. In short, I cannot take advantage of the so-called free installation service, nor can I remove the air conditioner that sits in the center of my living room. The stress and frustration that I felt were overwhelming. I could never have predicted that the excitement of ordering the AC would turn into such a disappointment. I will not make the same mistake again.
