My name is Feride. I purchased two flight tickets for my family and would like to share the details of the serious inconvenience we experienced.
Our flight time was changed by the airline. When I contacted customer service, I was told that the time could not be changed free of charge, and that we were only allowed to fly at the new scheduled time. Since my family needed to return to work on time, we had no choice but to accept the change.
However, the bigger issue was not just the schedule change. We originally purchased tickets departing from Sabiha Gökçen Airport (Asian side of Istanbul), but our tickets were suddenly switched to depart from Istanbul Airport (European side). This change was communicated to us only via a short message after the tickets had already been purchased.
As a result, on the day of travel, we mistakenly went to Sabiha Gökçen Airport, only to discover at the last moment that our flight had been moved to the European side. This forced us to take a taxi across the city, costing us ₺4000.
I have proof of the original flight time, the changed flight details, and the taxi receipt, which I am prepared to share.
I request full compensation for the taxi expenses caused by the airline’s unilateral changes, as this situation created both financial loss and significant stress for my family.
