ASICS Arc Fit Shoes Fell Apart After Only One Month

On January 24, I purchased a pair of Arc Fit model sneakers from the ASICS Marlin Outlet store located in Pendik Viaport Mall. After using the shoes for approximately one month, noticeable leather wrinkling appeared on the upper part of the shoes, along with tearing around the back heel area. Despite being only one month old, the shoes quickly began to look as if they had been worn for years and became severely deformed.

On March 16, even though I live far away, I personally went back to the store and submitted the product with a request for a refund or replacement. The store employees themselves clearly saw and acknowledged the wrinkling and deformation on the shoes, but they explained that the final decision was not theirs and sent the product to the inspection team.

Following the inspection, my refund and replacement request was rejected on the grounds of “user error.” I did not accept this response and requested a second inspection, but once again I received the same negative answer claiming user misuse. I absolutely do not believe that shoes can become this damaged in such a short period due to normal use, and I strongly believe the issue is related to manufacturing or material quality defects. Because of this situation, I also filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee.

I request that my inconvenience be resolved for a product that became this deformed within only one month and that my shoes be replaced free of charge with a new pair. I also expect the obvious defects in the product to be reevaluated properly and that ASICS adopt a solution-oriented approach instead of automatically blaming the customer with a “user error” explanation.
