I Dispute Unauthorized In-App Charges Billed Through My Carrier
Several charges were made through Apple mobile payments linked to my Vodafone line in December and January without my knowledge or authorization. I later learned that these transactions were related to a social media application. As a result of these unauthorized charges, a total of approximately $137 was added to my phone bills.
I did not make these payments. As soon as I noticed the transaction records, I realized they were unauthorized. I first contacted my mobile carrier, Vodafone, but they directed me to Apple. I have not yet spoken with Apple, and there are charges on my account that I did not approve and that were made outside of my control.
I request that these unauthorized mobile payment transactions be thoroughly investigated, that all amounts reflected on my January and February bills be refunded to me, and that the necessary safeguards be put in place to prevent this situation from happening again.
