Apple AirPods Right Earbud Not Working and Warranty Denied

The right side of my Apple AirPods suddenly stopped working without any user error. I have used the product carefully, and there is no significant impact, breakage, or any physical damage that would affect its functionality.

According to the inspection result provided by the authorized service center, the product was excluded from warranty coverage with only a vague statement saying, “physical damage has been detected on the right earbud.” However, no clear explanation was provided regarding what this damage is based on, how it caused the device to stop working, or how it is technically related to the malfunction.

It is not acceptable to assume that an electronic product has become completely non-functional based solely on an alleged superficial physical mark. The product worked without any issues for a long time and then suddenly failed. This clearly suggests the possibility of a manufacturing defect rather than user error.

In addition, the quoted replacement cost of $114 for a single earbud is disproportionate compared to the total value of the product and represents an unfair practice for the consumer. For a global brand like Apple to direct customers toward a paid replacement without providing a detailed and transparent technical explanation does not align with principles of customer satisfaction and trust.

As a customer who actively uses many Apple products—including phones, tablets, headphones, and accessories—and who chooses the brand based on trust, it is unacceptable for me to be treated unfairly in this process. I believe that a brand like Apple should prioritize customer satisfaction and resolve this issue.

I request that my case be re-evaluated and that my grievance be resolved within the scope of customer satisfaction. Otherwise, I will pursue my legal rights and escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
