Akbank Changed My Axess Credit Card Auto Payment Without Consent
I’ve been facing an issue with my Axess credit card ending in 6422. Even though I had enough balance in my Akbank account, the full automatic payment instruction for my statements dated 11/09/2025 and 13/10/2025 was changed to “minimum payment” without my consent. As a result, only the minimum amount was paid, and the remaining balance was charged with interest. This happened without my approval, and about ₺200 was unfairly taken as interest. I’ve faced similar problems before, and when I contacted customer service, they just told me to wait without offering a solution. I’m asking Akbank to correct this issue and refund the wrongly charged interest. I’ve already closed my credit cards, and once my two-year commitment ends in March, I’ll close my pension account and automatic payments as well. It seems Akbank doesn’t care, but at least I hope others read this and take precautions before facing the same issue.
