Zurich Delayed My Car Repair for Weeks Despite Full Insurance and Evidence

I purchased comprehensive car insurance from a company called Zurich. While my car was parked, it was involved in an accident right in front of my building. All documentation, including the police report, is available. When I contacted Zurich Insurance, they told me repairs would be faster at their contracted service centers and that it would be best for me to go there so I wouldn't be left waiting. Apparently, I had no choice due to the terms of the agreement I unknowingly accepted. Later, an assessor came and requested parts, and the service center said they were waiting for those parts. Ten days later, when I went to pick up my car, it hadn’t even been touched. I was told my file was assigned to a case manager, Ms. I***, who flagged the incident as suspicious and put it under investigation—even though they have everything including the footage and police report. It’s been 19 days now, and the investigation is still not complete. Every time I call, they give conflicting updates—saying the file is approved, then that it’s not, then that the review is ongoing. I’ve dealt with irresponsible and disrespectful service throughout. I truly regret choosing Zurich for car insurance. Avoid these kinds of companies just because they’re cheaper.
