On Friday evening, February 28, 2025, since I had guests, I placed an order through the Yemek Sepeti app for two 4-person buckets at 7:40 PM. My food was supposed to come from the Popeyes branch in Ankara Panora. (5 minutes after placing this order, a Domino's order I made arrived at my door in less than half an hour.) I waited for over an hour, but my order still showed as "being prepared." When I tried to call the restaurant through the app, it said the number was incorrect. When I tried calling Yemek Sepeti, I encountered an automated secretary saying I couldn’t make a call anymore. I was forced to communicate through the help center. They told me that my order was ready to be handed over to the delivery driver and was about to leave. I waited another 30-40 minutes, but the app still showed my order as "being prepared." I had to write again, and when they contacted the restaurant, they said that my order would be canceled because the items had run out. Since the malls close at 10:00 PM and closing time was approaching, it was very normal for the items to run out. In the end, they canceled my order exactly 2 hours later, and I had to leave my guests hungry at home. After 9:45 PM, I placed a new order. In response, neither Yemek Sepeti nor Popeyes took any responsibility and sent an automated cancellation message. If you don’t want to be embarrassed and stay hungry, don’t place an order.
