Xbox Account Hacked and Microsoft Support Would Not Help
About one or two weeks ago, my Microsoft/Xbox account was stolen, and the person who took over the account changed the associated email address. Because of this, I currently have no way to access my account. The old email address linked to my account was g************@Gmail.com**.
After this happened, I called Microsoft customer service by phone. The representative I spoke with said they could not help me in this situation and only gave me a website address, saying something like I needed to be “online in the account.” However, since my account had already been stolen and the email address had been changed, it was impossible for me to be online in the account. No practical solution was offered, and the call ended in a way that made me feel completely dismissed.
As the rightful owner of this account, I request that Microsoft verify my ownership using my identification and any other required information, then restore the account to me. I also request that the email address linked to the account be changed back to my own email address, g************@Gmail.com**. I ask Microsoft to secure my account and investigate the unhelpful and dismissive attitude of the customer service representative I spoke with.
