Wise Failed to Return My $9169 Bank Transfer
On September 3, 2026, at 9:22 AM, I made a bank transfer of approximately $9,169 from my Yapı ve Kredi Bank account to my Wise Fiba Bank account. Although I had been making transfers in the same way for years, I recently learned that Wise had ended its partnership with Fiba Bank and had started working with an organization called Moka United. Since Moka United is not a bank, I was told that the transaction is being treated as an electronic money transaction, and as a result, neither Wise nor Moka United is able to return the money I sent to my Yapı ve Kredi account.
In my communications with Wise Support, I have repeatedly been told that I need to contact Yapı ve Kredi and that the bank needs to remove a limit. However, my bank has stated that there is no issue with any transaction limit and that the situation is related to a legal restriction and the classification of the transaction as electronic money. I did not purchase electronic money; I made a genuine transfer of funds from my own bank account, and my money, worth approximately $9,169, is currently stuck somewhere that I cannot access in any way.
I have also been unable to reach Moka United and cannot find anyone who can provide assistance. Despite the financial hardship I am experiencing, Wise continues to direct me back to my bank, but there has been no concrete step toward resolving the issue. My money is effectively stuck between Wise, Fiba Bank, and Moka United, and I cannot use it or get it back.
I request that Wise resolve this transaction, reference number 26350575, as soon as possible and return the approximately $9,169 directly to my Yapı ve Kredi Bank account. If a refund through Fiba Bank is required, I request that Wise arrange this. If that is not possible, I request that Wise take all necessary steps through Moka United to ensure that my money is returned to me in full and without further delay, whether in installments or through another technical method.
