I sold my 2015 model Volkswagen Passat B8 1.4 TSI 150 HP in 2024. I informed the buyer that the vehicle had an EPC fault at idle, which had previously been examined by the authorized service. They had stated that the issue was caused by the spark plugs, ignition coils, and battery, and I had all of these replaced. The first record of this fault appears in the service history when the vehicle had 26,000 km. It now has 100,000 km. Despite reporting this issue during subsequent service visits, no engine diagnostics were ever performed, and the problem has since worsened. After the sale, the new owner had the engine checked at a private mechanic, where a compression leak was detected. It's a serious concern that such an issue occurred at only 100,000 km, and even more troubling that my complaints were repeatedly dismissed by the authorized service. I am requesting proper support from the service regarding this matter.
