Uber Charged Me Twice for the Same Taxi Ride

At around 2:30 AM on September 21, 2026, I took an Uber Taxi ride in Istanbul and was charged twice for the same trip. After the ride ended in Maltepe, the taxi driver first charged approximately $31 to my card using the payment terminal in the vehicle. Then, for the same trip, another $26 was charged through the Uber app.

I contacted Uber Support through the app about this issue, but I only received automated bot responses, no concrete solution was provided, and I was unable to reach a human representative. I was also unable to contact the driver because there was no option in the app to reach the driver again.

I request that the duplicate charge for the same trip be corrected, that the excess amount charged be refunded to my card, and that I be given clear information about how this issue occurred and how it will be resolved.
