Turkcell Postpaid Line Shows No Service in Iran for 13 Days
Approximately two weeks ago, I purchased a 24‑month postpaid Turkcell line through a reseller in Tehran, Iran, by paying 120,000,000 Iranian tomans in cash. From the very first day, the line has never worked in Iran and constantly shows “No Service”. It does not connect to any Iranian operator such as MCI (Hamrah-e Aval), Irancell or Rightel, and even during manual network search, no usable operator appears for registration. I tested the SIM card in two different devices (an iPhone 11 and a Motorola Edge 60) and obtained the same result, so the problem is clearly not related to the phone. I have tried all basic troubleshooting steps such as switching airplane mode on and off, restarting the devices, resetting network settings and trying different network modes (4G/3G/2G), but none of these attempts provided any connectivity at all. I strongly suspect that international roaming was never activated on this line. However, I am unable to activate or manage it myself because the line has no service and therefore cannot receive SMS verification codes. For the same reason, I cannot log in to the Turkcell app or to the Online İşlem Merkezi. When I tried to reach you via the English support form on turkcell.com.tr, I received a “Submission Error” message, so my request was not delivered. I also sent a detailed direct message to @TurkcellHizmet on X, but have not received any response. Since my Turkcell line cannot make calls, I am also unable to call +90 532 532 00 00 for support. So far, I have made no direct payments to Turkcell; the entire amount of 120,000,000 tomans was paid to the reseller in Tehran. I was not given any invoice, receipt, contract, or written agreement, only the SIM card in its original Turkcell packaging. I do not know the exact tariff or package name assigned to this line, and I cannot check it because I cannot log in without SMS. In this situation, I request that international roaming on my Turkcell line be activated immediately from your side without requiring an SMS verification code, as my line cannot receive SMS at all. If there is any requirement such as payment of a first invoice, deposit, or any other financial condition before roaming can be enabled, I ask you to clearly inform me how I can complete this payment from abroad. I also request written confirmation of whether Turkcell currently has an active roaming agreement in Iran with operators such as MCI (Hamrah-e Aval), Irancell or Rightel. Because the line has been completely unusable for approximately 13 days since I first inserted the SIM, through no fault of my own, I request that the subscription fees for this period be credited or waived. Finally, since my Turkcell line cannot receive calls or SMS, I ask that you provide a reliable contact method such as email or communication through this platform so that I can follow up on the resolution of this issue.
