Trivago Won't Let Me Change My Hotel Reservation

I made a reservation through Trivago for a two-night stay at Cender Hotel, checking in on July 29, 2026, for a total of €144. Later, I wanted to change my reservation dates to July 1–3, 2026, but I have been unable to do so because of problems with the booking system and the lack of customer support.

My reservation confirmation was emailed to me with the subject line Booklogic, and it includes the reference "Cender Hotel - Reservation Confirmation - TR-26-813E042." However, the date change system requires a reservation number consisting only of digits. Neither the email from Trivago nor my confirmation contains a reservation number in that format, so I cannot complete the request. I also contacted the hotel directly, but they told me they could not make the change themselves. I have been unable to reach anyone at Trivago through live chat, phone, or any other customer support channel.

My reservation is currently set to be paid at the hotel upon arrival. If I cancel it, I will be charged a one-night cancellation fee, and if I do not show up, the terms state that I may be charged the full reservation amount. However, the system also states that changing the reservation dates should not result in any penalty. Despite this, I cannot change the dates simply because I was not provided with the correct reservation number and have no way to contact customer support.

I request that my reservation be changed to July 1–3, 2026, without any additional fees or penalties. I also ask that the reservation number issue and the lack of customer support be resolved immediately so I can manage my booking without further inconvenience.
