Tinder SMS Verification Code Received Without an Account

On June 11, 2026, at 10:09 PM, I received an SMS from Tinder containing a verification and login code — despite the fact that I have no Tinder account and never requested one. Receiving a code like this on my number without ever signing up for or using the app is alarming to me.
Two days before this incident, my account on X had also been compromised. I now suspect my phone number may have been obtained without my knowledge as well, which makes me even more concerned about the security of my personal data.
I did not click any link in the SMS and did not use the code anywhere. I consider the unauthorized use of my phone number for this purpose a serious personal data security risk.
I am demanding that my phone number be completely removed from Tinder's systems, and that no further verification or promotional messages be sent to my number without my explicit consent.
