TikTok Gave Me a 5-Year Live Stream Ban Over a Brief Age Restriction Issue
Approximately two hours ago, during a live stream I was hosting on my TikTok account, I suddenly received a 5-year live streaming ban without any warning. During the broadcast, my camera was turned off most of the time, and only my cousin was sitting next to me. At one point, my younger cousin briefly turned on the camera and appeared on screen for a short moment. Immediately after this happened, my account received a 5-year live streaming violation penalty due to an alleged “age restriction” issue.
I am 14 years old and use this account personally under my own identity. However, I believe that a 5-year live streaming ban is an extremely excessive and unfair punishment for such a brief incident. I do not think it is reasonable to be punished this severely simply because my younger cousin appeared on camera for a moment.
I request that TikTok carefully review the 5-year live streaming restriction placed on my account and remove this unfair penalty as soon as possible.
