Telegram Blackmail Scam - Scammer Extorts Me After Recording My Screen
A user named 'h***' on your platform sent me a message and, without my knowledge or consent, recorded a 5-second video of my screen. During this recording, they also took a screenshot and have now begun to threaten me! This happened on July 29, 2024.
This individual is demanding money, threatening to share these images and a highly manipulated, inappropriate video with my family via Instagram. They claim to have all my information and are using the fact that my Instagram account is public as leverage, threatening to send this fabricated content to all my friends. The video they created is heavily doctored to make it look like I'm involved in +18 content, which is a complete lie and a horrifying act of defamation.
They also shared a page containing all my family's personal data, proving they have sensitive information. They warned that if I don't meet their demands, they will spread screenshots of our conversations to my social circle.
I want to make it unequivocally clear: I accept absolutely no responsibility for any legal or illegal activities that may occur on my account as a result of this extortion. This includes any voice or text messages, audio recordings, transfers, images, videos, illegal money transfers, link sharing, insults, threats, incriminating discussions, information exchanges, illegal actions, situations, locations, references to people, money, weapons, property, companies, inheritances, or accounts. I also disclaim all responsibility for any defamation of my name or accusations against me, and any incidents arising from the use of my profile picture or phone number on fake accounts.
Telegram, you must address this critical security flaw that allows users to be exploited and blackmailed on your platform! I demand immediate action to investigate this user, protect my data, and ensure that I am not held responsible for their criminal acts.
