Tatilox Hotel Booking Turned Into a Health and Safety Nightmare

We purchased a three-night stay at Black Stone Hotel in Karataş, Adana after seeing an advertisement on the Tatilox website. We noticed problems starting from the very first night, but since we had already arrived, we decided to stay. However, after two nights, the conditions became unbearable and we left the hotel early. Despite this, no refund was issued for the unused night.

We experienced serious discomfort due to mosquitoes. The sea was extremely dirty and impossible to swim in, and the beach was full of trash. In addition, although sun loungers were advertised as free, they were actually paid and operated by a different business. Even though pets were supposedly not allowed, there were at least three dogs everywhere—around the property, in the pool, and even in the sea.

Hygiene standards were inadequate. Many basic items that should have been in the room were missing. The TV and internet did not work. At breakfast, there were no plates or forks available, and something was always missing. Even in the open buffet breakfast, water was not placed on the tables.

There were construction materials scattered all over the property, along with exposed electrical cables. The fire extinguisher placed in front of the bungalow was rusty. Although an aqua park was advertised, two of the slides were broken, and we were told that parts would be brought from Adana. The pool water was never changed, raising serious concerns about cleanliness.

After two nights, we witnessed staff removing human feces from the children’s pool with a plastic bag, yet no cleaning or disinfection was done afterward. Guests who were unaware of the situation continued to enter the pool. After seeing this, we immediately left the hotel. Additionally, when we tried to report these issues, staff raised their voices at us.

We were told that the hotel used to be better, but unfortunately, this is its current condition.
