Suzuki Warranty Department Denies Claim for Lifting Door Sill Trims on 2024 Vitara

On August 15, 2026, I took my 2024 Suzuki Vitara to the Malatya Suzuki Authorized Service Center for its second periodic maintenance. My vehicle remains under full manufacturer warranty until February 14, 2028.

When collecting my vehicle after the service was completed, I noticed that the edges of the plastic rear door sill trims were lifting up and failing to adhere properly. I brought this to the attention of the service staff and asked them to resolve it, whereupon they opened a formal warranty claim.

However, Suzuki's corporate warranty department issued the following response: "No issue is visible at present; we will re-evaluate if it worsens." Expecting a customer to wait for a visible defect to deteriorate further before offering a resolution is entirely unacceptable. While the local staff in Malatya attempted to assist, they indicated that corporate warranty policy dictated this response. Furthermore, I discovered that the official service job sheet listed line items for parts and labor for work that was never actually performed on my vehicle.

Having all periodic maintenance performed strictly at authorized dealerships only to encounter resistance over simple warranty-covered plastic trims severely damages my trust in the brand.

I demand that the defective rear door sill trims be replaced under warranty free of charge immediately, without waiting for the damage to progress. Additionally, I require a clear, written explanation regarding the unperformed labor and parts items listed on my service documentation.
